"Hamadryad"

A nimph that is born with a tree and dies with it. The woods,where Pan is the master,is a place of pure joy , the same place where she lives. He pervaded a blissful world shared by humans, animals, plants and supernatural beings. A hamadryad symbolizes not only fecundity, but also decay.
